Entrepreneurship focus of ESR conference

-- The 2009 Economic Self-Reliance Conference will highlight leading
research and practices of social entrepreneurship that are creating
positive change in the United States and internationally.
This year's conference, designed to run Nov. 5-6 at the Conference Center at Brigham Young University, will provide a forum for participants to discuss how social entrepreneurship is creating new approaches for addressing poverty and economic development.
Plenary and breakout sessions will focus on these areas of social entrepreneurship: education, engineering, business, markets and becoming a social entrepreneur.
The keynote address will feature the 2009 social innovator of the year, Jim Fruchterman, founder of Benetech.
The conference costs $185 for two days of information.
