Tequitia Andrews has a bachelor's degree in sociology from Virginia State University and has written articles on parenting and family issues for such publications as the Richmond Times-Dispatch, All About Kids magazine, Richmond Parenting Monthly and ePregnancy.com.

Tequitia is a home-schooling mother of four children. She and her husband, Londo, live in Petersburg, Va., where they are members of the Richmond Virginia Chesterfield Stake. She is her ward's Relief Society president, and in her free time, Tequitia enjoys painting, singing, reading good books and blogging about family life.

 
When snowstorms begin to become commonplace and the novelty has worn off, it's time for sunshine and warmer temperatures.
I've been thinking about the "baggage" that we bring in with us when become members of the LDS Church. That
baggage doesn't prohibit us from membership, but it can cause problems.
