In the face of such challenges, sometimes we forget
the importance of finding joy in our daily lives.
The St. Louis World's Fair had
invited Utah to participate in a parade of states. The parade was
only few months away, and Utah had no state flag.
A high school teacher a few months ago asked students who supported a political issue to stand on one side of the room, while those who opposed it were to stand on the other side.
My absence at the meeting caused the quorum some problems, but I didn't see what the big deal was, until the quorum president showed up at my door.
The relationship between The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints and the Catholic Church has obviously grown closer during recent
decades, and not merely in Utah.
The
state Senate has indefinitely postponed action on a do-gooder
resolution that would encourage Californians to give up swearing.
