Carthage Jail: In honor of yesterday's anniversary of the "166th anniversary of the martyrdom of the Prophet Joseph Smith," Guy Murray posted three versions of the event, including a poem that included the powerful line "Four Gentle Brothers Bracing for Shock." Also included is a song from the Mormon folk group The Sons of Mosiah, and the relevant passages from Richard L. Bushman's "Joseph Smith: Rough Stone Rolling."

Scripture study"I was looking for one with a young family happily holding scripture study, but couldn't find anything." So explains this blogger in describing how challenging it can be to have "Scripture Study with Little Ones." So she decided to make a list of each Primary song and the scriptures that go with it and shares the documents via a link. Then she instructs, "Draw one or two slips each night for your family scripture study. You can either sing the song first and then read the scripture, or you can read the scripture first and try to guess which song it belongs with."

Softly glowing: After a few months' hiatus, the blog A Soft Answer is back with this gorgeous "Flickr Find: Oquirrh Mountain Utah LDS Temple." It's illuminated by a soft glow that seems so fitting for a temple.

Choir groupie: Maybe it's the way she sweetly describes her husband: "Aww! Look! A strong, brave, and handsome knight indeed. Here he sits waiting for one of their many performances to begin." Or maybe it's the charming picture of him sitting smiling in the quiet stand. Whichever it is, I found The Damsel's post on "Knight spotting-Mormon Tabernacle Choir" absolutely delightful.
